What is Love?Sample
LOVE IS KIND
Play: Ask your kids to bring their favorite toy to the sofa or along in the car. Instruct the children to share their toy with another family member, allowing him or her to hold it and play with it for five minutes. Ask if sharing their favorite toy was hard or easy.
Talk: Sometimes it’s hard for us to share what we own. However, God was so kind that He shared His only Son with us. It was as if He said to us, “Jesus is more precious to Me than anything in all the world—but I’m giving Him to you!” That’s true kindness. When we are kind to others, we are showing them godly love (1 Corinthians 13:4). What other ways have you seen the kindness of God in your life?
Pray: Give thanks for God’s kindness to you, and ask Him to increase your kindness toward others.
