Believer’s AuthoritySample

Believer’s Authority

DAY 2 OF 3

Walk in Your God-Given Authority

Jesus didn’t only save us; He also shared His authority with us. “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19).

The believer’s authority is the right to use the name of Jesus, the name above every name (Philippians 2:10–11). When you speak or act in His name, it carries the same weight as if Jesus Himself were speaking. That’s not arrogance; that’s covenant truth.

Authority is not based on feelings. It’s based on revelation. The more you understand what Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection, the more confidence you have to walk in victory.

As a believer, you are not trying to win over sin, sickness, or Satan. The battle has already been won. Your role is to enforce that victory through faith and prayer. When you resist the devil, he must flee because he recognizes Christ’s authority in you.

Every time you choose obedience, every time you declare God’s Word over your life, every time you refuse fear, you are exercising your authority.

Stand in Christ today, knowing this truth: sin has no dominion over you. Sickness has no dominion over you. Demons have no dominion over you. Death itself has no dominion over you.

Bible Reading:
Luke 10:19; Philippians 2:9–11; Romans 8:37

Reflection Question:
How would your daily life change if you truly believed you had authority over every work of the enemy?

About this Plan

Believer’s Authority

Every believer in Christ has been given authority, the divine power to rule over sin, sickness, and all the works of the enemy. Yet, many Christians live unaware of this truth, tolerating things Jesus already conquered on their behalf. This three-day devotional will help you understand and walk in your God-given authority as a believer. You’ll discover what Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection, how to stand firm against the enemy, and how to exercise your spiritual authority through faith, prayer, and revelation
