DAY 2 Clearing the Clutter
Scripture: Hebrews 12:1-3
Devotional:
Creative people accumulate clutter. Not just physical clutter, but emotional, mental, and spiritual clutter. Ideas, expectations, deadlines, insecurities, and unprocessed moments pile up until our inner world feels crowded. Lent invites us to clear space.
The writer of Hebrews speaks of “everything that hinders,” not just sin. Some things that hinder us are good things that have grown too loud. Some are habits that once helped us but now weigh us down. Some are voices we’ve allowed to shape us more than God’s voice.
Clearing the clutter is not about becoming minimalistic; it’s about becoming available. When we remove what hinders, we make room for God to speak, lead, and breathe fresh creativity into us.
This is not a frantic purge. It is a gentle, Spirit‑led process of noticing what no longer serves our calling and releasing it with trust. As we clear space, we discover that God has been waiting to fill us with peace, clarity, and renewed purpose.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, show me what is weighing me down. Help me clear space so I can hear You more clearly.
