DAY 2 OF 7

You Don’t Have to Be Perfect

Let’s be honest, most men carry a quiet pressure to have it all together. To have the answers. To fix the problems. To be strong all the time.

But the truth is, you won’t get it right every time.

Ephesians 6:4 reminds us not to provoke but to lead with care, wisdom, and love. That alone tells us something important—God already knows we’ll mess up.

You’re not meant to be perfect. You’re meant to be present.

One of the hardest moments for any man is when others realize he doesn’t have all the answers, especially in the home. There’s a natural desire to be seen as strong, capable, and dependable. But deep down, every man knows—I don’t have it all figured out.

And that’s okay. Because ultimately, we’re not the perfect example: Jesus is.

We’re all, in a sense, still learning. Still growing. Still figuring things out. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s direction. Are you moving toward God? Are you leading your life in His direction?

God doesn’t expect perfection: He looks for faithfulness.

When you fail (and you will), what matters most is how you respond. Do you grow? Do you humble yourself? Do you keep walking with God?

Your strength as a man isn’t in having all the answers; it’s in knowing where to go when you don’t.

Reflection Question:

Where do you feel pressure to be perfect—and how can you instead choose to be faithful?
