DEVELOP RESILIENCE FOR REAL LIFE
Anchor Scripture: Proverbs 24:16
“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”
Resilience is not the absence of failure; it is the refusal to stay down. Scripture is realistic about life—it does not promise uninterrupted success, but it guarantees the possibility of rising again. The righteous are not defined by never falling, but by their ability to recover.
Life exposes weakness, limits, and mistakes. What matters most is response. Micah echoes this posture when he says, “Though I fall, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light” (Micah 7:8). Resilience is confidence in God’s sustaining power, not personal perfection.
Paul described this resilience vividly: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed… struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8–9). Pressure tests structure. When faith is well-rooted, adversity strengthens rather than collapses it.
Resilience grows through perspective. Failure becomes instruction instead of identity. Weakness becomes a doorway to grace. The resilient believer learns, adjusts, and moves forward.
