WALK IN WISDOM WITH PEOPLE
Anchor Scripture: Proverbs 13:20
“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
Growth is never isolated; it is influenced. Scripture is clear that the people you walk with shape the direction you take. Wisdom is often transferred relationally before it is learned intellectually. This is why the Bible emphasizes association—not to limit you, but to protect you.
Relationships influence perspective. “Bad company corrupts good character” (1 Corinthians 15:33) does not mean people are evil; it means influence is powerful. Over time, attitudes, values, and behaviors subtly align with the environment you keep. Wisdom asks not only, “Are they good people?” but, “Are they helping me grow?”
Jesus chose His inner circle carefully. He ministered to crowds but invested deeply in a few. This was intentional. Psalm 1 affirms that blessing follows discernment in relationships—choosing counsel wisely leads to stability and fruitfulness.
Wisdom in relationships is not rejection of others; it is intentional alignment with those who sharpen your faith and character.
