Fresh Start Devotional

DAY 23 OF 31

PRACTICE FAITHFUL STEWARDSHIP

Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4:2
“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

Stewardship is the quiet test that precedes expansion. Scripture defines faithfulness not by visibility but by responsibility. What God places in your hands—time, opportunities, resources, influence—He expects to be handled with care, integrity, and intentionality.

Stewardship acknowledges ownership belongs to God. Psalm 24:1 reminds us, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” When this truth is internalized, entitlement fades and gratitude grows. Faithful stewardship asks, “How well am I managing what I’ve been entrusted with?” not “When will I get more?”

Jesus emphasized this principle repeatedly through parables (Matthew 25:14–30). Increase followed faithfulness, not ambition. The servant who multiplied was not the most gifted, but the most diligent.

Stewardship develops discipline and humility. It trains you to honor process and prepares you for greater responsibility.

Truths to Hold

  • Faithfulness is the currency of increase
  • Stewardship reflects trustworthiness
  • God expands what is managed well

Faith Declaration

I steward every trust faithfully. God strengthens my discipline, sharpens my integrity, and prepares me for greater responsibility.
