I FEEL... AloneSample

He Is Already Here
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20b (NIV)
Jesus spoke these words at the moment of His departure. His disciples were about to lose the physical presence they had relied on for three years, the voice they recognized, the face they knew. He did not minimise what that transition would cost them.
He simply told them what was also true.
I am with you always.
Not I will return to be with you, and not I will be near enough to hear you when you call. Always. The promise is not a future comfort. It is a present reality. Whatever you are walking through today, you are not walking through it in a place that God has not already entered.
But loneliness tells a particular lie.
It tells us that absence is the truth and presence is the hope. Scripture reverses that. Presence is the truth, and the feeling of absence, however painful, does not change what is actually the case. God is here, in the middle of the loneliness, and He will be here when it lifts.
That does not make the feeling disappear.
But it does mean the feeling is not the final word. You are not in a place God has abandoned. You are in a place God has promised to inhabit, and He keeps His promises regardless of whether we can feel Him keeping them.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I cannot always feel Your presence, but You have said You are here. Help me to hold onto that promise on the days when everything in me says otherwise. You are with me always. Let me live from that truth today. Amen.

About this Plan

Loneliness does not disappear simply because your faith says it should. If you have felt unseen, disconnected, or quietly invisible — even in a room full of people — you are not alone in feeling that way, and you are not beyond reach. These readings begin exactly where you are, without rushing. The God who has never once been absent is waiting to meet you here.
