Under the Cross

DAY 1 OF 7

United Under One Name

Big Idea: The cross eliminates pride and unites believers under Jesus alone.

Key Movements

1. Division begins when we elevate people above Christ (1:10–17)

2. The message of the cross confronts human pride (1:18–25)

3. God intentionally chooses the unlikely (1:26–31)

Key Verse:

1 Corinthians 1:31 — “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Application:

The church is healthiest when Jesus is the name above every other name.

About this Plan

Under the Cross

The church in Corinth struggled with division, immaturity, temptation, pride, and confusion. In the First Epistle to the Corinthians, Paul the Apostle repeatedly calls believers back to one central truth: everything in the Christian life flows from the cross and resurrection of Jesus.
