DAY 5: HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD

Isaiah reaches a place where he can clearly hear God's voice and receive direction for his life, but before he could say, "Send me!", he first had to hear the voice of God.

One of the greatest things we can experience in our relationship with God is learning to recognise His voice.

God speaks to us in many ways:

• Through His Word.
• During times of prayer and worship.
• Through dreams and visions.
• Through wisdom, peace, and direction.
• Through reminders of His love and the plans He has for us.

But hearing God's voice requires us to make room for Him.

There are so many things fighting for our attention every day. Sometimes we feel like God isn't speaking, but the truth is that we can become so distracted by other voices that we stop listening to His. That's why it's important to create time and space to be with God. The amazing thing is that God is always speaking. The question is: are we listening?

What God wants to say to you could change your life. It could impact someone else. It could even shape the direction of your future. Just like Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord, let's be people who listen to God and respond with willing hearts.

PRAY: God, I know you are always speaking. I'm sorry for the times other things have interrupted my ability to hear from you. Help me to be a person who makes room to hear your voice and respond, "Here I am. Send me."
