Philippians - Choosing JoySample

Read:Philippians 2:19-30
SOAP: Philippians 2:20-21
We all live busy lives filled with to-do lists, reminders, and appointments. In the midst of our busyness, we can forget that our true purpose here on earth is to glorify God with the days He has given us. Timothy was such an encouragement to Paul because instead of seeking his own interests, Timothy sought the Lord’s. What a powerful statement Paul shares about Timothy! May we all live lives like Timothy - lives completely sold out to God for His glory.

About this Plan

Joy is the theme in the book of Philippians, which is pretty amazing considering this letter was written by Paul while he was in prison. How is it possible to have joy in the midst of overwhelming sorrow and suffering? In the end, Paul teaches us that Jesus is the Author and only source of true joy.
