Advent With TearfundSample

God With Us
On the first day of Advent we celebrate the reason for this joyous season.
The Old Testament foretells the miraculous wonder of Jesus’ birth: “and he will be called Immanuel.” The Hebrew name Immanuel translates to God with us.
Jesus is not only the God who saves us but the God who is with us. He walked the earth as a man and understands every aspect of life we face. The trials, the victories, the ups the downs and everything in between. Whatever you are facing today, you have a savior who understands, you have Immanuel, God with us.
Together, let us pray as we look expectantly towards the Christmas season ahead.

About this Plan

Welcome to this year’s Tearfund Christmas Advent reflections. As we remember and pray for those in our world and in faraway places, our hope is that, each day, you will be inspired and encouraged; and that God’s goodness will surround you during this wondrous Christmas season.
