Anything Can Be an Idol
The Israelites worshipped an idol called a golden calf when they thought Moses wasn’t coming back. You might think you don’t worship an idol if you don’t have any statues that you sing to, bow down to, or pray to. But anything and anyone can be an idol if you put it ahead of God and worship it. God deserves to be first. God deserves all of your worship.
Challenge Question: What can you think of that might be an idol to you? How can you make God more important than the idol?
