Thirty-One Truths: Who I Am in ChristSample

ADOPTED
Adoption means to take legally a child as your own child who was not originally so by birth.
READ: Ephesians 1:4-6
READ: Galatians 4:1-7
When God adopts us, He receives us into His spiritual family in Christ. When a child is adopted into a new family, it can entail a whole new way of life—even as fundamentally as the language they grow up speaking. In Christ, God chose you to be His child, to be a part of His family. You are His. What are some changes in our thinking and in our doing that should result from our adoption into God’s family?
WRONG THINKING: I must live dutifully in servile slavery.
RIGHT THINKING: God has adopted me. I am His child and should honor Him as my Father.
