Esta revisão da Bíblia Nova Versão Internacional em língua portuguesa é destinada ao público brasileiro e segue a filosofia da família de traduções da New International Version. Nove estudiosos da Bíblia e dois linguistas trabalharam por três anos com o objetivo de aprimorar sua exatidão textual, estilo, e diagramação. A equipe se empenhou em garantir que todos os documentos em sua linguagem original fossem traduzidos com precisão e excelência, sem injetar elementos adicionais por meio de paráfrases injustificáveis, de modo que refletissem a unidade e a harmonia das Escrituras inspiradas pelo Espírito. A tradução preserva, tanto quanto possível, a força, as imagens e as expressões centrais do texto original, ao mesmo tempo em que as expressa em um estilo contemporâneo, porém condigno, em língua portuguesa. A Igreja é o público-alvo primordial, tornando a NVI adequada para uso na adoração pública, na leitura devocional particular e no estudo da Palavra de Deus. No entanto, a NVI evita a linguagem religiosa complexa, garantindo uma ampla compreensão para aqueles que não pertencem à Igreja.  ―――――― This revision of the Portuguese Nova Versão Internacional Bible reflects the language currently used in Brazil and follows the philosophy of the New International Version family of translations. Nine biblical scholars and two linguists worked for three years to improve its accuracy, style, and visual presentation. The team worked diligently to ensure a clear and accurate representation of the original-language documents without introducing unwarranted paraphrasing. The translation preserves the original text’s force, imagery, and key wording as much as possible, while at the same time expressing it in contemporary, yet dignified, Portuguese style. The NVI’s main audience is the Church, making it well-suited for use in public worship, private devotional reading, and study of the Word of God. Nevertheless, it avoids complex religious language, ensuring broad comprehension for those outside the Church.
