 Évangile de Matthieu  Évangile de Matthieu en dialecte franc-comtois a été traduit par Charles-Émilien Thuriet (1832-1920) dans le dialecte parlé dans la Basse Vallée du Doubs. Écrivain et poète, il était magistrat (avocat) de profession. Il est cofondateur de la Revue littéraire de la Franche-Comté. L'Évangile a été adapté de la version française de 1667 (l'édition 1883) qui avait été traduite par Louis-Isaac Lemaistre de Sacy (1613-1684). Il a été publié sous le titre :   Le Saint Évangile selon S. Matthieu, d' après la version française de Lemaistre de Sacy : Traduit en Franc-Comtois de la Vallée Basse du Doubs, environs de Baume-les-Dames. Par Ch. Thuriet, Avocat.   Louis Bonaparte  L'Évangile a été commandé par le philologue Louis Lucien Bonaparte (1813-1891), qui était le neveu de Napoléon Bonaparte. Il s'est installé à Londres au début des années 1850, s'installant au 6-8 Norfolk Terrace, Bayswater, et est devenu un membre actif de la Philological Society. Il parlait couramment l'italien, le français, l'espagnol, l'anglais et le basque. Bonaparte s'intéresse particulièrement aux langues minoritaires. Il paya l'impression de nombreuses traductions de parties de la Bible qu'il avait commandées en gaélique écossais, en français de Guernesey et dans d'autres langues et dialectes.  Édition originale  A l'origine, 250 exemplaires ont été publiés par Strangeways et Walden du 28 Castle Street à Londres en 1864. Cette édition comprenait une page d'Observations sur la prononciation du Franc Comtois et son orthographe écrite par Louis Lucien Bonaparte. Dans l'édition originale, chaque verset est placé sur une nouvelle ligne, et le premier mot de chaque chapitre est en majuscule. He moved to London in the early 1850s, setting up home at 6-8 Norfolk Terrace, Bayswater, and became an active member of the Philological Society. He was fluent in Italian, French, Spanish, English and Basque. Bonaparte's particular interest was in minority languages. He would pay for the printing of many translations of portions of the Bible that he commissioned in languages of the British Isles, and dialects and languages of Spain, France and Italy.  Original Edition  Originally 250 copies were published by Strangeways and Walden of 28 Castle Street in London in 1864. This included Observations on the pronunciation of Franche Comte and its orthography written by Louis Lucien Bonaparte. In the original print each verse is set on a new line, and the first word of each chapter was in capital letters.  Digital edition  This Gospel of Matthew was digitised for the French Bible Society. It was digitised with the help of Mission Assist in January 2023.
