The A.R.T. Of Conquering Fear预览
In my book, Faith to Conquer Fear: The Journey, I share seven different actions to conquer fear. Here are a few of my personal favorites.
· Surround yourself with encouragers. Everyone does not have the benefit of a supportive spouse or partner. It does make it more difficult to remain excited about achieving your dreams when those closest to you do not appear to support you. However, do not dismay. Begin sharing your dreams with others. Let people know what you are trying to accomplish. I guarantee you will find a ready cheerleader! Don’t forget to also encourage someone else.
· Pretend you are solving someone else’s issue. Often, it is much easier to solve the issues in someone else’s life than our own. A good friend of mine would often trick me by asking me a question “for a friend.” Inevitably, I would provide wonderful and actionable advice, only to have her tell me, “That’s great advice. Now, go do it!” What advice would you give someone else on how to conquer your fear? Now, go do it!
· Imagine the outcome you desire. It all starts with the mind. The Bible says “write the vision and make it plain.” Visualize what your life will be like on the other side of fear. Write down the actions you will take to conquer your fears.
