Wounded Warrior: Naaman预览
The Faithful Slave
We know very little about the Hebrew slave serving Naaman's wife. She provides a stark contrast to Naaman himself:
- He was a warrior, she was a slave.
- He was a leader, she was a servant.
- He was respected above; she waited beneath.
- He was victorious through God, she was humbled through captivity.
- He was a pagan leper, she was a faithful Hebrew.
Her wounds of slavery revealed her faith in God. If her faith was in the Law, she would have condemned Naaman's pagan customs and religious practices. Instead, she loved her master and introduced him to the power of God.
Challenge:
- How do you faithfully serve those who have authority over you?
