7 Benefits Of Being A Kingdom Steward

7天中的第5天

The fifth benefit to being a kingdom steward is receiving emotional stability. Stress and worry cripple millions every day. We find so much to fear in this world, and the enemy loves nothing more than to see God’s precious children living panic-stricken lives. It comes in different shapes and sizes. Depression, frustration, anger, violence—all these emotions show up, and in response to them, we medicate ourselves to death. In the middle of all this, God has the audacity to say, “Don’t worry.”

What is worry, anyway? It’s more than concern; it’s concern gone haywire. It’s like a rocking chair; it’ll get you started, but it ultimately won’t take you anywhere. Now, there is nothing wrong in being concerned about the various events of your life. But when you lose control and the concern dictates your emotional state, then worry has arrived. And that is what God commands you not to do. Since it won’t change anything regarding your concern, allowing worry to take control is not only against God’s wishes, but it serves no purpose.

The real problem for most people is how to stop from worrying in difficult situations. When the rent is due, the bank account is empty and the family needs to be fed, worry can become an all-consuming state of mind. In Luke 12:28, Jesus says to His disciples, “You men of little faith!” The point He is making is that worry is evidence of a faith problem. To worry about your life is to forget who your Father is. He provides for all creation, including you. It might seem like He’s asleep in the boat, but in reality, He wants you to trust Him and take rest in His abundant provision.
