Reflect

Do you feel like you are effective every time you share your faith? Probably not. Sometimes it seems we stumble over our words, or our actions that could point to Jesus leave something to be desired. What is Paul’s prayer here for his friend Philemon? Can you imagine becoming so effective in sharing your faith that those who see and hear come to fully understand every good thing that we have in Christ? That’s a great prayer for yourself and for those who share Christ in their daily lives.

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What does it say about God?

· What does it say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?

Now read this week’s memory verse, 1 Thessalonians 2:4. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.
