How Jesus Handled Crisis

5天中的第3天

Jesus continues to be our example for passionate prayer, but He is also our example for focusing on the relationships that matter most. In times of crisis, who we’re doing life alongside matters! While we have been separated and socially distanced, we can see that the Church is more alive and active than ever before - in online platforms, in creativity, in connection and care, in the actions of community service and relief during a global pandemic, and in many other ways. When Jesus was on his way to being persecuted, he continued to prioritize the relationships that mattered most. In the days leading up to his crucifixion, we see many examples of Jesus sitting around the table, breaking bread with his disciples and closest friends. He sowed into relationships that were going to carry his legacy and his purpose forward, long after he was gone. In this season of isolation and distance, we have an incredible opportunity to be very intentional and impactful with our relationships. Something powerful and miraculous happens when Believers gather within community with Jesus as the focus.

Questions:

  • Who are the people that you prioritize in your life right now? Which relationships matter most to you? Who can you include within your community?
  • How can you be more intentional about investing into relationships today? Consider doing something practical for those within your faith community that would represent the love of Jesus.
