Covered in My Womb: Part 2预览
Growing in Understanding
Before covid-19 entered my home, I was taking the Holy communion, but my eyes were not opened to the power in the meal. It was impressed on my heart to read a book on the Holy Communion. I read The Miracle Meal, meditated on the scriptures cited in the book, and my eyes were opened to see the purpose of the Holy Communion. I have no doubt that taking the Holy Communion worked a miracle in my spirit, soul, and body.
Have you found yourself doing Biblical things without understanding why you do them? I have, and I still do. However, it is more beneficial to grow in our understanding of the Word.
God is constantly calling us to a place of growth and revelation in our relationship with Him. While it may be okay to do things out of obedience, God wants the eyes of our understanding to be opened so that we may know the riches of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:18). Spiritual growth brings us to a place of deeper understanding.
Have you been praying and fasting without seeing results? Are you following Biblical principles without seeing results? These situations are frustrating. It may be a sign that God wants you to grow in your understanding. It is time for you to deeply understand why you are doing the things you have been doing.
We can have a deeper understanding by reading the Word and asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand what we read (John 14:26). Our pastors and Bible teachers are also here to help us understand. Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV) says “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, open the eyes of my understanding. Give the spiritual leaders in my life a heart that is dedicated to you. In Jesus‘ name.
