Faith and Mental Health a 5-Day Devotional预览
If you’re reading this right now, your fight isn’t over. There is still air in your lungs and hope in your future. There is nothing about your future that is set in stone except for two facts: God loves you, and you have the freedom to choose what kind of life you want to live. That’s it.
I don’t care how many times someone has told you that you’re an addict and will never amount to anything. I don’t care how many times you’ve told yourself you’re worthless and don’t deserve to live. I don’t care if you’ve been to rehab twenty times. You are still alive, which means you can get better. And for that simple fact, the fact that it’s not over yet, you can be grateful. And maybe there, in that tiniest sliver of gratitude, you can find the strength to make the next move, the move that may very well just save and transform your life.
Go in peace, my dear friends, on the journey back toward God and yourself. I’ll be making the same journey. At times I’ll be sprinting, the wind in my hair, a smile on my face. Other nights I’ll be limping along, barely putting one foot in front of the other, hoping to make it to the sunrise. There will be times I’ll fall to the ground, certain I’ve reached the end of the line. But I am bound and determined to get back up and never give up because, by God’s grace, I have made the decision to keep traveling down the good path God has given me, trusting it will someday lead me home. I hope to see you along the way. In fact, I need to see you along the way because I don’t think I’ll make it alone.
Peace and love, my friends. May you, too, never, ever stop walking.
