Your Name is great and greatly to be praised.
Learning to trust someone is always a little scary. It takes us opening up and being vulnerable –– and we don’t do that with just anyone. It takes a certain level of understanding in a relationship before we’re willing to trust them with deeper things.
Sometimes, we treat our relationship with God like that. We tip-toe around trusting Him because we might not have full confidence in who we’re putting our faith in.
Maybe you thought God would work it all out, but things aren’t getting better.
Maybe you’re struggling to believe He really wants what’s best for you.
Maybe you aren’t sure if you feel His presence and it’s left you doubting.
God desires for us to know and trust Him, but if we don’t spend time with Him, how will we learn to take Him at His word?
Scripture gives us countless examples of God showing up in real, personal ways. To King David, He was “Adonai.” To Moses, He was the great “I am.” To the Israelites, He was “Elohim.” Through Jesus, He became “Immanuel,” God with us. His names give us a clearer picture of who He was to His people and who we can trust Him to be in our own lives..
If you need a friend, He’s a faithful confidant.
If you need a savior, He’s the resurrection and the life.
If things seem dim, He’s the light in the darkness.
Whatever you’re searching for, whatever uncertainty you're trying to make sense of, whatever pain you may be experiencing, God wants to remind you that everything you need can be found in Him. He is El Shaddai, the all sufficient one, and His promises never return void.
Will you take Him at His word today?
读经计划介绍
In Revelation, we see Jesus as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” and the “Lamb who was slain.” So much of God’s kingdom embodies paradox; even Jesus Himself was sovereign AND He submitted to authority. He’s the beginning AND the end. He isn’t relegated to one or the other. Join us for this 14-day study as we learn about how God’s kingdom and character may surprise us.
