Turning Sorrow Into Joy预览
Looking at the situation with a Christian look
Just as a father corrects his son, desiring his good, God, who loves us unconditionally, will discipline us when necessary.
Saul once needed an actual encounter with Christ to abandon his life of sin and become Paul, the great apostle of Jesus. These changes were only possible after experiencing moments of pain and suffering.
Let's see what the Word tells us in Acts 9:8-9. “Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And for three days, he was without sight and neither ate nor drank.”
Realize that Paul had moments of anguish and pain. Still, they were necessary for him to understand his condition as a sinner, turning these sorrows into joys. Saul, now Paul, had an extraordinary and influential history in many people’s lives after his encounter with Jesus. His life, constantly moved by the Holy Spirit, was responsible for winning thousands of hearts for Jesus.
Prayer: Father, thank you because I know you hear me. Thank you for what you have done in my life. Thank you for making me understand that all this sorrow has come to bring your glory into me. I am confident that permanent joy will come, and I will be able to enjoy peace beyond understanding in the name of Jesus. Amen!
