Sometimes faith has growing pains

When you’re standing in the middle of a struggle, it can be hard to feel like everything is going to be okay.

When you’re facing depression and anxiety…

When it feels like your family is falling apart…

When you can’t possibly imagine how this could work out for good…

Everything is still going to be okay.

We know what you’re thinking: “You don’t know what I’m going through.” And you’re right, we don’t know –– but God does.

Just take a look at this verse:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NLT

Whether He shows you His power by doing the unexpected or whether He wants to use this situation to make you stronger for the next, He works all things together for good.

“I’m not sure” and “I don’t know” are the spaces where faith grows. It’s a place where God can reveal His power to you.

Jesus reassured us before He ascended to heaven by saying this:

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

This verse is an encouraging and powerful reminder that Jesus has already overcome the things we are walking through, but it has something else as well: a command.

He tells us to, “Take heart.”

Whatever you’re going through today, take heart. Your faith is growing and your belief is getting stronger. And if He has overcome the world, He will help you overcome this.
