[Uniqueness of Christ] Jesus' Unique Reality预览
He Is Exalted At All Times
When you think of Jesus, do you think of Him as humble, meek, mild, loving, and caring? How about as your friend? As Someone you can always talk to and Who always helps you through?
We often focus on those attributes, on the human side of Jesus, but we often miss the magnificent, divine side of Jesus Christ. Remember that He is fully God and fully Man.
So, while Jesus was in a manger, He was still upholding the universe (Hebrews 1:3). He grew up, He was tempted, He walked on water, He healed people, and He forgave people their sins. His human and His divine side were always there.
Why did Jesus have to be God? Why did Jesus have to be human? Jesus had to be God because He needed to become the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humankind. He had to be able to pay the price for our sins. Jesus also needed to be fully human so that He could shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins. This was a legal requirement for our righteousness. Without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22)
As imperfect, sinful human beings, we may not be able to identify with God, but we can identify with the human manifestation of God. All of us suffer, and we need a Savior who has also been through suffering. Knowing that Jesus, as a Man, did not give in to temptation and committed no sin shows us He is perfect. Despite this perfection, He chose to endure much suffering during His time on earth.
This is why Jesus is worthy of worship because of who He is and what He did. The Bible is full of examples of Jesus being worshipped.
He is the Lamb Who was slain and worthy of our praise! He is the Son of God. Everything was created for Him and through Him. He is human, and He is also God. He is worthy of being exalted at all times.
May your worship experience and your prayer life draw you closer in awe and reverence to our unique Savior, Jesus Christ.
