Made New Prayer Devotional预览
THOUGHT OF THE DAY
“The Gospel” means Good News. This is why we, as Christians, are the Good News people, because we are recipients of the greatest message ever given: the Kingdom of God is at hand through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Read Luke 4:14-21. What good news did Jesus proclaim? Have you taken the time to let those words penetrate deep into your heart? Or how about John 3:16? Have you wrestled with the reality of God’s intention? This is GOOD NEWS that we are saved and can know God because of Jesus’ life. This should bring us encouragement, excitement, and hope!
We serve an all-powerful and loving God who is at work on our behalf. We often forget how good this “Good News” really is. This is one of the reasons why we pray, to thank God for what He accomplished on our behalf. Praying reminds us how truly good, and mighty God is.
Prayer strengthens us and enables us to go through life with the knowledge that Christ has won. This is the knowledge that we can then share with others and encourage them that God wants to know them deeper. The Gospel is the greatest gift, and we have the privilege of encouraging others with the good news of Jesus.
As you pray today, reflect on the Gospel as a source of encouragement. Read John 15:12-17. What does it mean that Christ now calls you friend? How does this verse inspire you to be an encouraging person?
GUIDED PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the good news that You came to save us. Help me to be impacted by the reality of the Gospel. Help me know and feel Your great love towards me so that I may share it with others. Lord I am encouraged by the fact that I am held securely in Your presence. Give me the right words to say to others so that they are led to You. Lord, give me the grace to know You deeper each day and give me the grace to seek Your face above any other desire or distraction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
