Prayer and Peace
Prayer is the means by which we overcome our anxieties. We don’t always know what the result will be, but God is in control and has our best interests at heart. If we have truly released the burden of our anxieties and fears to the Lord, our hearts will be protected by the peace of God. His peace protects our minds from running to every possible scenario. It often doesn’t make sense that we should be at peace in the midst of distressing circumstances, so when we are, we can be assured that peace came from God.
Wonderful Jesus, I have to remind myself of Your goodness. I forget that You always have my best interests at heart. When something has my body uneasy but my soul at rest, I know it is You. It is a supernatural peace that only comes from You. Guide my soul, to trust in You and Your goodness. Thank You for all that You do.
