Christmas Slays预览

Have you ever gotten a present you felt like you didn’t deserve? For me, that was 4th row tickets to the musical Wicked. I LOVE musicals, but I know that the tickets for them are really expensive! So when my parents gifted me with these incredible tickets for my birthday last year, I felt like it was too big of a gift for me to accept.

However, when I was watching the show with tears in my eyes, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude to my parents for gifting me something so special.

The people of Israel didn’t deserve a Messiah even though God had promised them one. And guess what? God sent them one anyway.

No matter how good we are or how much good we do, we can never do enough to deserve Jesus because sin is a part of our lives.

And that right there is the most beautiful thing, God gave us Jesus anyway. Jesus is the absolute greatest gift we could ever receive.

Our beautiful Savior. Through giving our lives to Him, we are offered life everlasting. He gave up His life for ours.

There is no gift that is ever comparable to that gift. And that’s the beauty of God. He gives and gives and gives, just to bless His people and to show us His goodness and kindness.

If the only gift God every gave us was Jesus, it would be more than we could ever expect or deserve.

And because of that perfect gift, Christmas slays.
