It's Ok to Be Disappointed, but Don’t Stay There, Overcome!预览
The safest place to process disappointment is in the presence of God. Anything outside of His presence can lead to an unfavorable outcome. I've been disappointed many times before, but I've always managed to cry out to God before I started to sink, and He always came through to pull me out.
Last year, I suffered a very traumatic disappointment. I didn't know how to move past it. One day, I realized that grief had overtaken me. I had never been in such a place of despair that I didn't see a way out. I cried to God and asked Him, "How did it get here?" Like the gracious father He is, He took me back to the very moment. He said, "It's not that you processed outside of My presence; you didn't process at all, and that's much worse." I wanted to overcome, but I didn't see how it was possible. God took me to the story of Lazarus and showed me how to process my disappointment and overcome it so that I didn't allow the enemy a foothold to come in and destroy my life.
Think It Over!
Did you process your disappointment inside or outside of the presence of God? Did you ignore the pain and hurt? Do you want to let go and be free?
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
I know You are a good father. You give good gifts to your kids, but it seems like You let me down. I know that's not who You are. Help me to see my circumstance the way You see. Help me to process my hurt and pain in Your presence. I want to be free. I lay it all at your feet. Refresh me, renew me, and make me whole in my broken places. In Jesus' Name, Amen
I recorded two videos on my YouTube channel; I will link them here for you to watch. I pray that you hear the heart of God concerning your situation and that you will overcome it! Be blessed.

Disappointment, in one way or another, happens to us all. How we process the disappoint determines if it will be the foundation for God to do a miracle or if it will be an anchor that weighs us down.
