The Promises Of God For You
When I was a young boy, I was very sick and couldn’t live a normal life. The doctors suspected I had a hole in my heart. I also had severe asthma. I was in and out of the hospital for much of my young life. In fact, I almost died one night when I was 10.
We didn’t have the sophisticated medication for my condition in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. Many people said to me, “Kong, you’ll be sick and weak for the rest of your life. You’ll never play sports. You’ll never be healthy.” But I refused to accept that.
Even as a young boy, I learned to trust in the promises of God, one of which says, “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). And praise the Lord, He brought me to full health and redeemed my life from that illness!
There are times when God heals physically, and times when He allows suffering for His glory. But no matter what, you need to trust in His promises for rest, peace, and victory in Jesus’ name. Because it’s in His promises that you can find hope no matter what you go through.
Prayer for the day:
Pray for God to give you full hope in His promises for rest, peace, and ultimate victory through Jesus Christ today.
