Trusting and Rejoicing in Trials and Tribulations?

We don’t really want to trust God when life seems to be “off the rails,” now do we?

The answer I’ve had most often is, “no,” if I am honest with myself. And how many of us have truly rejoiced when we are struggling?

I have a tough time with this, but God clearly instructs us that these situations will produce endurance (if we don’t give up) which leads to strength of character, then to assurance of our salvation, and promises that we will not lose hope.

And if we trust in Him, we can even have rest during times of trials. What hope there is in that!
