SUPERABUNDANTLY MORE!

‘To Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.’ Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP

In life, we either lower our faith and expectation to the level of our past experiences or, we audaciously believe that our experiences will rise to the level of our faith.

God is gratuitous by nature. He goes beyond, and He overdoes, He is ‘superabundant’.

Look at the universe displaying His glory. Hubble reveals an estimated 100 billion galaxies in the universe, but this number is likely to increase to about 200 billion as telescope technology in space improves.

When Jesus fed the multitudes, there were baskets and baskets of food leftover. When He turned the water into wine, there was more than they needed, and it was the very best. This is God’s nature. He is not small, petty, stingy or limited, and He doesn’t just meet needs, He goes overboard.

This is the power that is working in YOU today. A ‘more than enough’ power!

Never let life shrink your thinking or your faith.

Don’t lower your expectation or stop dreaming, or asking for great things, or believing for miracles. Yes, you will face the stony wall of disappointment and restriction. Yes, those things will mock the dreamer within and try to convince you that you are crazy.

Well, stay crazy! Don’t rationalise away the promises of God. Don’t get so sensible or realistic that you hope for less. Believe, believe, believe!

Abraham is called the Father of ‘our faith’, and it is said of him that ‘against all hope, in hope, he believed.’ He faced the fact that his body was as good as dead and that his wife was barren and past childbearing years, yet he did not waver in unbelief. He became the Father of Nations.

Our faith is just like Abraham’s because his faith was a New Covenant type of faith. There was no Old Covenant in his lifetime. It had not been given. He had zero knowledge of God being about a list of rules; he only knew Him as being about a relationship.

He believed God, and it is said that his faith was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called a friend of God. His faith was not in his works but in credited righteousness just like us who are in Christ.

That’s why he is called the Father of OUR FAITH. A faith that is not in works but a faith that is in grace.

God loves to do ‘superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams’ and so we ought to believe for him to do it.

Even when our failures and shortcomings make us feel undeserving, our faith is not in circumstance or ourselves. Our faith is in His unmerited, superabundant favour. Where sin abounds, grace superabounds! And grace makes way for superabundantly more than our wildest dreams even when we least deserve it.

Against all hope, in hope, believe. Keep your expectations high. Dream, believe, anticipate. And you will see Him go beyond.

Beloved – All things are possible with God, and all things are possible for the one who believes.

Scandalous Favour

The Word of God is given to divinely renew our minds with Heaven’s thoughts towards us. See yourself blessed; crowned with goodness, dripping with His abundant favour. Not favour you have earned or deserved by your own wisdom, strength or your good works. Scandalous favour is the product of His abundance of grace and the free gift of His righteousness alone. Unmerited favour! Grace.
