 YOUR PROSPERITY HIS PLEASURE

‘Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favour my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”’ Psalm 35:27 NKJV

Our minds can so easily become filled with negativity, doubt, anxiety, fear, and the confession of others around us. It is so easy to develop mindsets that are far from God’s heart for us. Such mindsets can be incredibly limiting and stunt so much of God greatness in our lives.

The greatest weapon we have to reshape our thinking is our mouth. This is why our words are so important.

Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, ‘Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.’

Conversations indeed do betray the mind of a person. Luke 6:45 says, ‘From the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.’ Yet James 3:4 also tells us that “the rudder” of life is the mouth. So not only does your mouth reveal your heart, but it also has the ability to steer your heart.

How many times has a conversation stolen your joy, made you feel insecure, or knocked the wind out of your sails?

The power of life and death is in the tongue. So, if you want to get the ideas of your mind aligned with the truth about God, your mouth is the key. We can reshape our thinking, smash negative mindsets and establish positive ones through the power of our confession.

Think about today’s verse for a moment. Say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.’

Is that really how you think? Is it your deep conviction? Do you really believe that what gives God pleasure is your prosperity?

If you don’t genuinely believe that with high confidence, is it therefore possible that your mindset may be limiting your experience?

Could your thinking be holding you back from the fullness of scandalous favour available to us in the grace of God?

Here is a more direct question. Do you frequently say, ‘God takes pleasure in my prosperity?’ Probably not, but perhaps you could do with making that your regular confession for this year.

As our thinking aligns with God’s thinking, we begin to walk in faith for the kind of life he has in store for us.

So, say continually, “what gives God pleasure is my prosperity.” Say it. Say it. Say it until it forms the default basis of all your thinking.

Beloved, all things are possible with God, and all things are possible for the one who believes.

Scandalous Favour

The Word of God is given to divinely renew our minds with Heaven’s thoughts towards us. See yourself blessed; crowned with goodness, dripping with His abundant favour. Not favour you have earned or deserved by your own wisdom, strength or your good works. Scandalous favour is the product of His abundance of grace and the free gift of His righteousness alone. Unmerited favour! Grace.
