Times are desperate, we can’t hold back. We must strike mics, the ultimate attack. To live out what we say or get out the game.

Everyone these days has their own truth that they want to tell. Social media has afforded all of us the chance to speak our minds to a crowd of people without ever leaving our homes. We can hear the opinions of our friends, or those we respect, from the ease of our smartphones. It is now easier than ever to talk and listen—yet it also seems harder than ever to live out that truth.

Don’t miss the biblical weight of the fact that God wants His people to be both hearers of the Word, and to then go share it with others. As the Psalmist implores us in Psalm 96:3, “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” There is an incredibly important aspect to being a Christian that calls us to be a people who tell others about our faith.

Yet, God calls us to do more than simply learn and speak about what we know. The world is full of others who talk incessantly and make plenty of noise. God is calling us to go a step past being people who talk but to also be people who consistently live out what they say.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. ~ James 1:22-25

That is quite the statement in Verse 23! If you are just someone who hears the Word and yet live your life unchanged by the Word—you are lying to yourself. You think you believe, but your life and actions reveal a completely different story. Christians are people who believe in Scripture wholeheartedly and then take action to live it out.

To the person who is willing to act on the Word of God, He promises that man will be blessed. God does not desire for His people to be those who talk a big game and then do absolutely nothing about it. He wants His people to be different from the rest of the world—He wants His church to put their words and their lives out there for the world to see.

Use your ultimate weapon—a life changed by the grace of God—to be your means to change the world.
