The Story of My Life - Seeing Yourself in the Life of Moses預覽
When Disobedience is Good
Invitation to SELAH
Before you spend time face-to-face with God today, take some time to SELAH (Stop, Exhale, Lean In, Ask & Hear).
Reflect
Pharoah continued to grow more and more violent, even planning the mass murder of Israelite baby boys in order to stop the growth of God’s chosen people. However, there were some bold women who were willing to stand against this grossly sinful order from Pharoah. Take a second to reread verse 17 from today’s reading. The midwives refused to obey Pharoah. Why? Because they feared God. The Bible talks a lot about the Fear of the LORD. When we understand that God is both all-powerful and all-knowing and that He is a loving father and a just judge, it gives us a healthy fearful respect for Him more than we would fear those around us.
There may be some people in your life who try to encourage you to push the boundaries and jump into something you know is sinful. You don’t have to be a slave to sin. With God’s help, you can live and love like Jesus and not fall into the peer pressure.
