The first order of business for the wise men was to give Jesus gifts. It’s kind of funny, because the first thing Jesus does for us is give us a gift, the gift of eternal life when we choose a life with Christ.  But oddly enough, he ends up with a stinky gift exchange!  Because while He is giving us eternal life, He’s asking us to give him our burdens, hurts, and hang-ups. The kings laid their gifts before Jesus. And we are given the opportunity to lay our burdens before Him. Jesus makes our burdens light because they are left at the cross where He saves us. What do you need to lay before Jesus? What hurts or hang-ups are in need of His redeeming power?
