Flippin' Christmas

ڕۆژی10 لە 10

God didn’t just choose unexpected people. He didn’t just tell us to love those kinds of people. God became that person in the form of Jesus. The shepherds and the wise men and the manger aren’t the craziest part of the story of the birth of Jesus. It’s that God came into the world in the form of a helpless baby, without a place to stay, in a manger. God took on flesh and became a lowly person to save lowly people. He was rejected when the inn keeper said there was no room for his family, just like people are rejected day in and day out. Sometimes it’s easier to listen to someone’s advice when you know they’ve been through a similar situation. God can step into our lives and give us guidance, He can comfort us when we feel alone, because He experienced our lives through the human life of  Jesus. No one expected the Savior of the world to be a baby who was born without a place to stay. If you feel like that in your life - if you feel alone - know God came to give you comfort and salvation. And, if you see someone who is alone or struggling, that’s an opportunity to comfort that person. Who can you offer comfort to this Christmas season who might not have it?

Flipping Christmas flips that picture upside down as we look at what Christmas really was so we can better experience what Christmas is.
