Calming the Storm

Jesus and the disciples left the crowd and headed across the lake in a small boat. Suddenly a fierce storm struck and the boat was in danger of sinking. Meanwhile, Jesus was sleeping.

The disciples woke Him up saying, “Lord! Save us, we’re going to die!”

Jesus said to them, “Why are you so afraid? You have so little faith.” Then He got up and gave an order to stop the howling wind and raging sea, and it all became perfectly calm.

The disciples were amazed and asked, “What kind of a man is this that even the wind and the waves obey Him?”

Jesus showed His complete power over nature, and why shouldn’t the One who created everything have the power to control it?

Jesus created you too, and when it feels like there’s a storm inside of you with waves of anger, fear or worry, all you need to do is call on the One who is always with you and brings peace.

REMEMBER: Jesus is always with you in the boat of life!
