OVERCOMING FEAR - KNOWING WHO WE ARE 

Where does my identity lie and in who does it lie with? As for most of us cricketers, it lies in our performances out on the field and also on what others say about me. I have found that I need to stay rooted in Christ so that my identity lies solely and utterly in Jesus. 

In the cricketing universe, we have coaches and managers whose opinions matter. We need to be careful that we don't get swayed and flustered by those opinions. That happens when their opinion matters the most to us so our value then gets measured by our coaches, teammates, the fans and managers. We, then, build up our self worth around that.  Its crucial that we don't do that.

Irrespective of what you do, be it as an entrepreneur, a corporate, a government employee or a student, you and I need to be clear of where our identity lies and whose opinion of you matters the most for you. 

For me, my identity is in Christ and I believe what he says about me.
