The Path Of The Pilgrim By Ann Goodfellowنموونە

“If”!
“If” is such a little word but holds great meaning and promise. Jesus uses this word to tell us what great things will come to pass—if we obey Him. But so often worldly demands and temptations draw us away from His side, and we do not achieve what Christ requires of us. As we fail to obey Jesus’ “if ”, we fail to receive His promises and blessings.
If we obey the commands, just as Jesus has obeyed His Father’s commands, we will remain in His love. Can we do this? We can, but only if we live as Christ’s own!
How devoted are we to our God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Is our life spent studying the Word of God—the Bible? Do we seek God’s ways for our life, and practice them regularly? Do we teach others what we have learned? This is what God requires: for us to be an example of faithful servanthood for others to follow.
We long to be like Jesus who was devoted to God in every way. We need to come before our Lord and ask Him to help us fulfill His will in this matter of faithfulness. It is not to be a “sometimes” walk with Jesus, but a daily opportunity to learn God’s truths for our lives. Let us apply ourselves to living faithfully for our Lord!
Prayer
Lord, Father God, help me to obey Your commands, just like Jesus did. Keep me safe in Your love, for I long to have You near me all day long. Amen.
