CHAT-A-BOX Pt 1. Connecting With Godنموونە

CONVERSATION STARTERS
Q1) Would you rather sacrifice money, time or comfort to get something you really wanted?
Q2) Who is someone that has sacrificed something for you?
What does the Bible say about sacrifice?
- Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice by dying on a cross so we could be forgiven.
For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. (Romans 3:25a)
- Jesus’ sacrifice means we can have eternal life with him.
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17)
Discussion Questions
- Why did God send his Son into the world?
- What did Jesus sacrifice and what does this mean for us?
- How do we receive eternal life with God?
