Day 3: Plead the Blood of Jesus 

The greatest tool we have to declare victory over the virus is the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus is stronger than any virus that would try to come against us! How do we stay safe, protected, and hopeful in these increasingly dark times? By pleading the blood of Jesus over our lives. 

In scripture, the enemy is called the accuser of the brethren. The enemy loves to speak accusations and condemnation over you. “You aren’t a good father/mother.” “You have no friends,” and the list of accusations goes on, trying to rob you of life. But I am here to declare to you that through the blood of Jesus, the enemy has no authority over you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

In a courtroom once an accusation has been made against a defendant, he or she must plead guilty or not guilty to their charges. When the accusation of the enemy comes against us in life, we get to plead the blood of Jesus. As believers, we are not judged by our righteousness but rather the righteousness of Christ. 

When I plead the blood of Jesus, the blood stands between me and the accuser. The accusations might keep coming but the blood of Jesus speaks a better word. The enemy might try to remind me of my past, but the blood of Jesus has washed it clean and speaks destiny over my future. What can wash away my sins? What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Pray with me today: “Heavenly Father, I thank you for your precious son Jesus who sacrificed Himself so that I would have eternal life. I thank you for the blood of Jesus that washed away my every sin, that gives us power over life and death. I plead the blood of Jesus over situations in my life that need Your breakthrough, and it’s in His name that I pray, amen.”
