Victory Over the Virusنموونە

Day 5: There is Power in the Name of Jesus
There is one name that is above every other name: JESUS. The name of Jesus is above the name of divorce, lack, sickness and disease. To have victory over the virus, all we need to do is simply declare the name of Jesus.
Several years ago I was on a mission trip in the Dominican Republic. One evening a few of us decided to go for a walk. We started talking and lost track of time, before we knew it we were separated from the rest of our group. As the sun started to go down two robbers came up and attacked us. They were shouting, “Give us your money! Give us your backpack!” Right as I began to struggle with the robber, one of the women in our group shouted “JESUS!”. At that very moment, the robbers stopped the attack and they ran away as fast as they could.
You see, there is power in the mighty name of Jesus! When situations arise in life and you don’t know what to say, speak the name of Jesus. When you may feel overwhelmed or full of fear, speak the name of Jesus. When you may feel opposition or the attack of the enemy, speak the name of Jesus! It is the name above every name!
God has not called us to live in a spirit of fear. The enemy wants the church to be inactive because inactive Christains make his job easier. Now is not the time to shrink back, we need to combat the inactive church. We have to rise up and speak the name of Jesus. We need to rise up and declare victory over the virus!

Little things matter. As we have seen around the globe in recent months, one microscopic virus can spread to infect hundreds of thousands of people. This is how our enemy works. He works to spread a virus of fear, hopelessness and panic. But I have come to declare victory over the virus! We are not doomed to defeat.
