Advent: The Hope of Christmasنموونە

Go Tell It Over the Mountain (The Shepherds)
It was another normal evening shepherds sitting in a field with their sheep. When all of sudden this excitement occurs. This was unexpected. They see the angels and they are scared. They’re probably thinking, “What is going on?” But their attitude starts to change once they get the message.
Luke 2:11 says, “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
They heard this and when the angels had left, they immediately looked at each other and said, “we got to go see this!” They leave their posts to go see this wonderful unfolding event. When they saw the baby, they fell down and worshiped. Then...they went and told everyone of this Good News. They couldn’t keep it to themselves.
In this dark world, the Good News of Jesus and what He has done must not be kept a secret. In this broken and sinful time that we live in, many are looking for Hope. We must be like the shepherds and continue spreading the Good News that the Messiah came to save all! Our challenge is that we must not do this just during the Christmas season, but in all seasons.
The Good News of Christ isn’t a one day of the year type of thing, but it is an everyday life changing news. It must be the headline of our life.
