Advent: The Hope of Christmasنموونە

The Star
The star. It’s one of the most well known things about Christmas. We all put a star on the top of our Christmas tree. But why is it important? What is the meaning of it? Well, in God's story, we see that the star has a very important role in His plan. In the book of Matthew, we see the most important star. That star was the light that helped lead special men, called Wise Men, to Bethlehem on the night of Jesus’ birth. That moment was special. God used that moment to show that “a child is born” and “His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Matthew 2:10 says, “the sight of the star filled them with indescribable joy.”
The word “indescribable” means hard to capture. You know, it’s that feeling when you finally get that special something that you've been wanting for and that sense of joy you had when you received it. The Wise Men saw the star and had joy like no other. What they had long waited for had finally arrived.
Just as the stars guided the Wise Men, Jesus will guide us. We can depend on him, always.
