The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensنموونە

Mourn with those who Mourn
Have you ever been away with family or friends? Maybe you went on a camp together where you sat around a fire and shared deeply with one another. This is where you get fragile and vulnerable. Are these some of your closest friends or family members now? Being vulnerable and real with your friends will bring you closer together.
It might look scary to share some of your most painful experiences with others, but trust me, it’s totally worth it. When we listen to our friends sharing about their pain, we become connected on a deeper level, and we even start dealing with our own pain. I hope you will have such an experience and realize that it helps to work through your pain with others.
Exercise:
Think about a painful experience. With who can you share your pain? Who can you invite to share their pain with you?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I ask for the grace of tears to weep over my losses.

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
