Draw Near - Prayerنموونە

When Jesus was with His disciples, before He ascended to heaven, He promised that He would send a Helper in His place.

The disciples might have been wondering why Jesus would leave them. They had enjoyed being near to Jesus. Everywhere He went, they followed. Now Jesus wassaying that He would go and leave them behind. They might have thought this was no good, but Jesus tells them it is GOOD that He goes because when He does, He will send the Holy Spirit.

If Jesus had stayed here on earth, imagine how long you might have to wait in a line to see Him, to ask Him a question or get to know Him. You might have to catch a plane or drive to the countryside of Galilee to find where He was. Instead, the Holy Spirit is with you, right where you are. You can speak to Him anytime, anywhere and about anything.

The Holy Spirit is for here each one of us, you don’t need to be perfect or meet a certain level of holiness to have the Holy Spirit in your life. All you need to do is ask!

A parent loves their child and wants to give good gifts to them. God, our Heavenly Father gives good gifts to us, His children. He waits ready to give His Holy Spirit to anyone who asks Him.
