Song of Salvationنموونە

Trusting in God’s strength and protection
“Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the LordGod is my strength and my song,
and He has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2)
The experience that God saves His people, helps them to trust Him for the future as well. They don’t need to be afraid anymore. In many places in the Bible, this is phrased as a promise. In today’s verse, people speak from experience. The Lord God has indeed become their salvation, and therefore they praise Him.
Having a Savior makes all the difference for us humans. Knowing that God is on your side, gives you the certainty that nothing can really harm you and nothing can separate you from His love — neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come. (Romans 8:38)
The Bible does not promise that God’s children won’t experience hard times. They often do! But as the apostle Paul testifies, “I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. [...] I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:11-13) If God is your strength and your salvation, He will carry you through whatever difficulties come your way. Do you trust in Him?
